Heave of up to approximately 30 cm extended around block.

Residential home straddling fault in Wu Feng (24.0463, 120.6919). Vertical
offset was approximately 2.5 m at this location.
View of transverse reinforcement in 18-inch square column at junior
high school in Wu Feng (24.0434, 120.6969). Transverse reinforcement spaced
at approximately 11 inches with hooks less than 2 inches long and bent
at 90 degrees.

120.6986). Vertical offset approximately 1.7 m at this location.

Remodeled apartment building in Puli (23.9688, 120.9728). Building was
originally three stories tall, but was raised to five stories during remodeling.
Building tilted in JiJi earthquake, then collapsed in strong aftershock.
Settlement of approach to bridge between Puli and Nankang (23.9553,
120.8715). Bridge approach consisted of fill retained between two nearly
vertical concrete walls. Settlements of up to 30 cm observed along roadway.
